Importing and cleaning CSV data in general-purpose spreadsheet tools often quietly corrupts dates, strips leading zeros, or overwrites source files, leading to costly data pipeline failures.
Technical decisions and design.
Table treats uploaded CSV source files as strictly immutable snapshots. Users build transformation recipes—column renaming, type validation, null handling, and filtering—in an isolated staging layer with instant before-and-after diffs. Recipes are exportable and reproducible.
Deliberate engineering choices.
Runs entirely within the browser via Web Workers, keeping customer data confidential and eliminating server processing limits for files up to several hundred megabytes.
